9 new chicks

I had a bantam hen setting in the pen where I put my red pullets and I left her in the nest when I went to feed the chickens she had hatched 9 chicks.
I put her in the coop that already had 3 mothers and 3 chicks. The fight was on between her and the white pekin hen and the chick hid in the grass. I think they will settle down and the mother will claim her chicks perhaps the other hens will take some of the chick for their brood.
The six hens I have in the other pen have adjusted to being in the pen with the other hens and chicks and I think these will also.
I had 4 yellow and brown chicks and 5 black and white. I would like to raise a few of the yellow and brown chicks because most of my small bantams are black and white. I want to have a few yellow pullets since most of my small bantams are black.
I still have my yellow pullet in the wire cage inside the chicken run. I though about turning her out yesterday since she wants out so bad but decided that she would be able to get out of the pen and since I don't want her to become cat food I resisted and left her in the cage.
I would like to start the winter with 9 pullets from this years hatch. I lose some hens every winter and I think it is a good idea to have a few young hens for next spring.

You may never see the end to new chicks and kittens...so many and so little time.

Here a chick, there a chick, everywhere a chick chick! You are run over by chicks!

Well, we certainly would not want to run out of chicks.
