I feed the chickens and cats and took a photo of my vegetable garden/flower garden.
I have had chickens in my run for 7 years and over time it has been covered by chicken dropping and the bottom of the pen gets very hard and packed. For the last 2 days I have been taking my hoe in and digging the pack up and then the chickens get in and scratch and eat something that I can't see. They really enjoy this activity. I may take my wheel barrow and shovel in tomorrow and try to shovel some of the pack into the wheel borrow and move it out of the pen. It would make a nice soil for my garden next spring if I am still around.
The apples are getting ripe on my neighbors trees. Their son is staying there while they are gone and I didn't want to pick the apples unless I cleared it with him. Last evening I ask him if it was OK with him since his mother said I could and he said it was fine with him so I guess Cheryl Ann and I will be picking beans and apples next week if she is free to do so. I will check the beans and call her when I think they are ready. I finally got all the beans I wanted and they plants are still putting on beans.
I will go down today and check the apples and see if they are about ready also.

Hope the apples are good. No worms or rotten cores. The maters you gave Fleta sure looked good.
I broke my toe and am hobbling around...No, I did not go to the Dr.
I hope you get all the apples you want and they are good ones. Don't overdo with that shovel and hurt yourself.
