Stereotypes jokes

Stereotype of race or a group of people...
The mayor of a certain town in California is in trouble because he sent an email of watermelon growing on the white house lawn and he declared he didn't know it was raciest. Baloney!

what is wrong with stereotypes? Here is what is wrong with such "JOKES"

In the south a man who grew watermelon to near the road was often a victim of thieves so if you say all Negros love watermelon you are saying "all Negros are thieves!"

Remember I told the tale of raccoons on the white house lawn and said that in the south Negros were Called "coon" and said the headline was "coons on white house lawn".Everyone knows that raccoons are depicted as bandits because they have a dark mask around their eyes so if you call Negros " coons "you are saying all Negros are bandits, pure and simple.

Now Clint Eastwood has said...
The Dirty Harry star insists that he should be able to tell harmless jokes about nationality without fearing that people may brand him "a racist".

Stereotypes Jokes are funny as long as they are not about you and some people are tired of being called thieves because of their race. Here is another, "all Arkansas's' go around bare foot," People who don't wear shoes are poor so if Arkansas's' don't wear shoes they are poverty stricken.

If the shoe fits admit it and don't say I didn't know the meaning of the "joke."
I have one about mayors, Mayor didn't know watermelon on white house lawn was demeaning to Negros, hence all mayors are stupid.

All Irish men drink whiskey hence all Irish men are drunks! You can go on and on with examples of such "JOKES" but at least don't try lying you way out when you are caught.

snow

Kelly caught my bantams last night. He put them in a wire cage and he took them to his house. The plan was to take them to the sale tonight but we have snow this morning so He may have 20 bantams running around in his pens for awhile but at least my flock only has 12 hens and 1 rooster now.

cheese or peanut butter

I found this on the Democrat under ground posted by a teacher in Florida about giving children sandwiches when the parents don't pay lunch room bill.

Those who think it is about a cheese sandwich need to spend some time in classrooms and school lunchrooms with young kids. It's a punitive measure. It began that way, and it is today. It has been one of the most obvious signs here at DU how our culture has changed under the Bush administration and it's rigid conservatism. Before I retired as a teacher, I witnessed the struggle when our lunchroom at school began the "cheese sandwich" gambit. It was very obviously meant to embarrass the children whose parents were behind in their lunch payments. It was done in a harsh way very often, with the lunchroom workers pulling the kids out of line after loudly calling out their name. They presented them their "cheese sandwich" lunch so that it could not be missed by anyone in the lunchroom. After many teachers complained they toned it down a little, but there were still loud arguments with the children who just did not understand why they were being taken out of the line to be given a cheese sandwich. The lunches were cooked in large quantities. It saved nothing at all financially to prepare separate "cheese sandwich" lunches for the needy children. I knew the family backgrounds of the children I taught in 2nd grade when they started that policy. I tried to explain some of the situations to the lunchroom management. They got angry with me for standing up for the children's feelings. They reported me to the principal who told me to back off.The same thing happened to other teachers who did not like the discrimination. It was a shocking thing to everyone when it began, but I see it has become acceptable now. It never was and still is not about a cheese sandwich or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or any other kind of sandwich. It's about embarrassing children needlessly when it would be just as economically sound to feel them a regular lunch. It's a harsh conservative tactic meant to humiliate when it could be handled another way. The fact that it is accepted so easily at a Democratic forum scares me.

1.5 million old foot print

I have wondered how since God created Adam 6000 years ago could the scientist find foot prints on this earth that are 1.5 million years old and I have figured it out this morning.

God created the heavens and the earth long ago, we don't know how long ago but it is eons. The Bible says he created the angels and other being long ago, then 6000 years ago God created Adam so how can there be foot prints 1.5 million old.

God created Lucifer better know as Satan, he was an angel, God gave Lucifer the earth as his place to do what ever. Then Satan fell from heaven to earth because he was kicked out of heaven because he wanted to be God so That is Satan's foot print on this earth.
You think I have gone crazy, right? This argument makes as much sense as any other explanation of a 1.5 million foot print on this earth. you notice the print has no heal? He had a sore heal , it was bruised from his fall.

How soon we forget!

Jewish Leaders Blast Clinton Over Israel Criticism
Zuckerman, Lawmakers, Local Jews Say Secretary Of State Not The Hillary Clinton They Used To Know.

I was discussing Hillary Clinton and somethings she would do if she was president while she was running for the nomination and I told my sister one of the things she would be was pro-Palestine if she was elected and now it seems she is and the Jewish leaders in this country are amazed that she is pro-Palestine

Hillary made many statements when she was the first lady showing her true colors as to Palestine and her support for them. If she has been known as a pro Israel person in the senate it was because many powerful leaders in New York are Jewish and Hillary knows where the money is.

When Bill Clinton was president we saw Arafat in DC often and much of the power he had came from the Clintons and their support for him.

The real issue to be learned here is Hillary's job is to do Obama's will and if she fails to do this he can rain her in or fire her so perhaps Obama is pro- Palestine also. I think we are seeing a shift in DC policy towards Israel from the top.

Mike Huckabee

Mike Huckabee is the funny man on Fox channel,I enjoy his humor.

"Other news outlets have gotten religion recently," said the now-Fox News host. There is the "Oh God channel", he added, "after Chris Matthews finally realized that there was a God and called him out before Bobby Jindal's speech."
Later he went on to call Matthews station "MSBS." The rest of the media wasn't spared. Nor were members of Congress and the administration. Huckabee called Newsweek Magazine, "ObamaWeek," for its favorable covers and coverage of the president, referred to Obama's treasury secretary as "Turbo Tax Geithner," for his failure to pay portions of his income tax. Reflecting later on his long-held belief that the IRS should be abolished, Huckabee concluded that, if it came true: "We would no longer have a tax cheat running the IRS."

"If anybody wants to believe they're the descendants of a primate, they'e welcome to do it." --

"I liked gravy poured on top of a big glob of mashed potatoes, I liked biscuits a lot, and a lot of them. I liked going to the state fair and having a fried Twinkie. They were my choices. They were bad choices."

politically incorrect

I know this is not very nice but it is 6 AM and I just couldn't help my self. It seems a family of Raccoons has been rooming the white house grounds and the park service has been trying to capture them in a humane manner. One raccoon has been captured and removed to a undisclosed location, Maybe Dick Cheney now has a raccoon in his yard.

In our area raccoons are called coons and further south people of African descent are called coons so this is my head line: "Coons are seen on white house lawn!" I know this is not nice so I ask Obama to forgive me, I just can't help my self some times.

fun

Bobby Jindal Governor of Lousiana

Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele

Sarah Palin Gov. of Alaska

Polities can be so much fun, the republican party has noticed that we have a brown man as president so they are searching for brown faces to put up front for their party. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana gov. is the son of a couple who came here from India, he has brown skin so he will be the right flavor in 2012 for president.

Lt. Gov. of Maryland of American-African descent was picked for the leader of the RNC, after all he is brown.

Saraha Palin is a woman so she is will be the republican answer to Hillary Clinton.

The Republican party is trying to put new faces on thier leaders but most of us know you can put new cloths on a king but underneath he is the same old King. They thought they had a winner in Queen Sarah but she has had several problems in her home state so they are searching for brown faces now.

If Obama is a success in his first term it makes no difference who runs against him,he will win but if his first term is a disaster Joe the Plummer could run and beat him. Joe the plummer is the right color and he is bald headed which fits the Republican party, the OWM, that is the party of old white men.

Arnold Swartnagger is my Governor, when he heard some of the republican Govs was talking about turning down the stimulus package he said "we will take their part because we need it!" Arnold represents the people Of California and he know this. Besides Arnold was born in Germany and under the law as it is now he can not be president. This is the reason so many republicans are flapping about Obama not being a citizen, they want the law changed so Arnold could be president.

Beyond stupid

Scott Easterling will be moving from Iraq to Fort Leavenworth Kansas soon.

Soldier Scott Easterling

A U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter

new world

I get up in a new world every day, I went out today and moved 6 of my bantams into the keeper pen so if I feel like baby chickens later I will have setting hens.

"W"

Oliver stone's "W" is on dvd in the movie rentals and Janet got it for me. I can tell you if George w. Bush's life was any thing like stone portrait of him, he had a terrible life. He called his father poppie and he spent his life trying to get his father's approval which he never did. Poppie only had one son and it was Judd Bush.

I felt very sad for "w" and this was a surprise for me.

I managed

I managed to separate my chickens, the bantams are in one pen and the red hens are in the other. I just can't maintain the house like I should and so I am just going with the 6 hens and the big rooster.

Old age and change

Old age is full of Cant's, I can't do this or that any more so I have made a decision as of next Saturday I will sell all my bantam chickens. I was so down I almost decided to sell all of the chickens but I am going to try keeping my 6 red hens if I can.

cats

This is some of my neighbors enjoying a free lunch from me. Note the mama cat with the missing paw, she gets around very well now but her tree climbing days are in the past.

My bantams gave me 11 eggs yesterday and I got 5 brown eggs. It seems the 6 big hens never all lay on the same day. There is always one on strike, I wonder if it is the same hen every time?

I have the winter doldrums and am wishing for spring. We had 34 degrees for a low this morning and a light rain. I saw some of my tulips we coming up yesterday. I will have blooms in march.

reading

I am reading and trying to escape the TV and all the stuff they are spouting about the cartoon of the stimulus and shooting the chimp.I am sick of it, was it raciest? was it not? It seams to me that with all the problems we have we have heard enough about the cartoon and how about the pompous fools who are asking what would Jesus say about the stimulus bill? I think he would brink out his whip and give all the DC leaders a good lashing for being such two face fools..

I have been reading books by Cynthia Riggs. she wrights about crime on a Island and a detective who is 92 years old. light reading to say the least.

pugsy checking for night visitors

Dogs have an ability we don't have, they can smell the ground for pass traffic. We had a cold night last night. down to the 20's by day light.

I made it to the library and brought home 18 books so I am reading full speed ahead.
I read Ellen Foster by Kaye Gibbons. Oprah has her book club on it which means little to me since I don't usual seek Oprah's option for my choice of reading material .
This book Is a slim little volume having only 145 pages but I enjoyed it or perhaps that isn't the right word choice but it held my attention .
Ellen Foster Gibbons published Ellen Foster, which she based on her own nightmarish childhood experiences. When Gibbons was only ten years old, her mother committed suicide by overdosing on medication. Like Gibbons, Ellen too is only ten years old when her mother kills herself by ingesting an entire bottle of pills. Also autobiographical is Gibbons's portrayal of Ellen's father, who eventually drinks himself to death, as Gibbons's own alcoholic father did. In Ellen Foster, Gibbons fictionalizes her true life search for a loving home. Like Ellen, Gibbons found such a home with a foster mother after suffering much abuse by her cruel, self-involved relatives.
When I was little I would think of ways to kill my daddy. I would figure out this or that way and run it down through my head until it got easy." So begins the tale of Ellen Foster, the brave and engaging heroine of Kay Gibbons's first novel, which won the Sue Kaufman Prize from the American Academy of Institute of Arts and Letters. Wise, funny, affectionate, and true, Ellen Foster is, as Walker Percy called it, "The real thing. Which is to say, a lovely, sometimes heartwrenching novel. . . . [Ellen Foster] is as much a part of the backwoods South as a Faulkner character—and a good deal more endearing."

today

It is 6 o'clock and the roosters are crowing. The temperature is 58 degrees. I have to hook up the water hose and fill up the water containers for the chickens as soon as day breaks.

Sammy is taking me to the library today and I hope I find something to read. Clayton is retiring again. I hope it takes this time.

gobble-gook

I found this article on the net trying to explain why gas was going up while crude oil was going down. This is pure gobble-gook and the truth is the oil companies are going to charge all they can as long as the public will pay.

To drivers once again grimacing as they tank up, it sounds like a conspiracy. But it has more to do with an energy market turned upside-down that has left gas cut off from its usual economic moorings.

The price of gas is indeed tied to oil. It's just a matter of which oil.

The benchmark for crude oil prices is West Texas Intermediate, drilled exactly where you would imagine. That's the price, set at the New York Mercantile Exchange, that you see quoted on business channels and in the morning paper.

Right now, in an unusual market trend, West Texas crude is selling for much less than inferior grades of crude from other places around the world. A severe economic downturn has left U.S. storage facilities brimming with it, sending prices for the premium crude to five-year lows.

But it is the overseas crude that goes into most of the gas made in the United States. So prices at the pump will probably keep going up no matter what happens to the benchmark price of crude oil.

"We're going definitely over $2, and I bet we'll hit $2.50 before spring," said Tom Kloza, publisher and chief oil analyst at Oil Price Information Service. "This is going to be an unusual year.

pullet

This is one of the few pullets I managed to raise last summer and I believe she is laying now. I wanted to keep her because she has the pretty yellow color. 11 bantams yesterday and 5 large eggs. 16 total is the most eggs this year.

29 degrees and we had snow on the porch this morning. spring has gone into hiding again.

The stimulus bill passed and awaits Obama's signature. Fleta is happy about the bill because her husband got a raise and an extension on his unemployment and when she is happy we all are happy. When Fleta is unhappy we all feel the effects of her rage.

I saw that Ken Starr, the fellow who worked so hard to get Clinton impeached has raised his ugly head again and is making comments about Obama and forecasting failure for the president.

Old dog tricks

Well good golly miss molly, I realized I hadn't read the old, new dog post in a while and started looking for her in my blog list and she wasn't there. I thought how will I find her and then I went to sis's blog and sis says she follows me around and there was Betty from Harrison in her links so I went and read several of the new dog's post and caught up with her.

I have no idea how I lost her but I have found her again!
I called her the old, new dog because when she starting blogging she called her blog old dog with new tricks , then she changed her tune and called herself the new dog.
no matter what she calls her blog I like it and I don't want to lose her again.

signs of hope

I looked out my kitchen window in the evening fading light and I spied two birds in the wild cherry tree with the broken limbs from the ice storm. one was a robin and the other was a house wren. Can spring be far behind?

Eleutheros speaks

I read this blog every time he post and tonight he tell us why the stimulus bail out will not work and why we are facing a economic melt down click on the title of this post and read what he has to say. This is part of his post.
Eleutheros speaks..
Does it not strike you as significant that the list of things we aspire to do for a living and the list of things we consume and depend on daily have so little common ground?

The things that actually sustain us and make our lives comfortable are supply by a tiny percent of the workforce, less than 5% I’d say.

The microcosm of this allegorical Micotopia Hollow demonstrates why the world is now facing a deep economic depression. For years now the number of people involved in actually producing goods and services, the real goods and services we need day to day, has been dwindling while the number of people who base their personal economy and personal fortune on activities that produce no real goods has multiplied. Moreover, all those people have come to rely on investments, savings, stipends, pensions, and entitlements as if those things somehow magically caused goods to spring into existence.

Students of Eleuthronomics will instantly see the etiology of the problem. It is viewing money, no matter what the source, as a sort of magic talisman that can cause goods to come into existence. Alas, this hallucination is the basis of the entire current handling of the looming depression. If we just create a lot of money into existence and then initiate a lot of government spending, then the creation of goods will follow the newly minted money. But it has never happened that way.

A republican speaks

Pepper is a Republican I think, and this is what he has to say about the S. package that is going to be passed by congress by Monday. I will say the tax burden in this bill will come back to the working people in the years to come as a tax burden that they may not be able to carry.

Pepper said...
My real approach to the government growth bill is "What the hell, they're going to do what they want to do, and we have no power to stop them." Yeah ... a big shout-out and thank you to our voters who thought it would be a good idea to put the big-government, Social-Democrat Party in complete control in Washington DC.

Somehow Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the Democrats in Congress have managed to make this government growth package go from bad to worse. It seems as though their main goal was not in the details, but in making sure that they got the total number under $800 billion ... they assume that $789 billion is an easier number for the public to stomach. Yeah, right. It sure feels a lot better to me. Trouble is, with debt service this is still well over one trillion dollars. That's alottazeros.

What we got in the end was a bill that is two-thirds spending and the rest are "tax cuts". The "tax cuts," of course, are government handout checks. Welfare. For the most part, these spending projects are funding the Democrat platform: green energy, universal healthcare, "tax cuts" for the middle class and poor. Obama's signature "Making Work Pay" tax credit is going to provide an extra $13 a week in take-home pay. $13 whole dollars! What are you going to buy with that?? That's $1.86 a day! Now you get out there and spend that extra two bucks (almost) a day to get our economy moving again, you hear?

Meanwhile, tax credits for new home purchases and cars has been wiped off the map. But don't worry, those people who aren't paying income taxes are going to have an extra $13 in their pockets!

Has every good little citizen gone out and purchased your latest copy of Vogue magazine? After all Michelle Obama is on the cover .. and aren't you just dying to see what designer made her dress or what color her nails are painted? I bet you that more Americans are aware of the fact that Michelle is on the cover of Vogue than are aware that the cover story of the latest Newsweek is titled "We're all Socialists Now." Our power-hungry congress has just run off with the financial future of your children and grandchildren. Well .. at least we all know what's important.

I was wrong

The s. bill has no rebate check in it but has a cut in the workers weekly pay check.
The president's signature tax cut was preserved — a break for millions of lower- and middle-income taxpayers of $400 per individual and $800 per couple. That's less than the $500 and $1,000 the White House originally sought, although officials said it would mean an estimated $13 per week extra per paycheck.

My daughter will be mad, she was gung-ho for Obama because she thought she was getting a rebate check and I am not going to tell her she is not getting the mad money. There is a one time payment to people drawing suicidal security of $250.00 but if I understand right it was for people who draw the bare minimum money so that leaves me out. Maybe I can tell her it was the Republicans who cut her rebate check. LOL. by the way suicidal security is not a misspelled word.

up side down world

The stimulus bill and tax cuts for the middle class . Trying to wade thro' the tax cut in the bill is like walking in mud up to your chin.

first there is a tax cut for the working class in the year of 2008 in the form of $500.00 dollars for the single tax payer and $1000.00 for those people who file joint tax for the year of 2008. This is in the form of a tax rebate check when you file your taxes this year. This is like the $600.00 rebate check that George Bush sent out last year.

Next there are tax cuts build into the bill for the year 2009 and 2010 which will be seen in the pay check of the workers each week starting as soon as the stimulus bill passes. The tax cut for 2009 and 2010 will add a small dollar amount to your weekly pay check. The powers that be hope people will spend this money and not save it. It is my opinion that the workers in this country save very little and the tax cut will probably go into the gas tank of their cars or at the grocery store for food. The plan is suppose to stop the failing economy and put people back to work.

Will this work? probably not but at least the tax payers will have some cash from the rebate checks to make them feel good for a few days until the money is gone.

Our world is turned up side down for most of my life I was told by the powers that be save some money for a rainy day and they are now saying don't save money spend your money and help the economy now.

There are things in this bill that is set aside for roads and bridge building that is suppose to put the unemployed back to work but the trouble with this the powers that be say it will take a year or so to get rolling so the workers tax cuts is a short term measure for a long time problem.

The thing I keep thinking about is the tax cuts are for 2008, 2009 and 2010 after that your taxes will go back up, how high is the question? The next question is will you have a job to pay your taxes or are we going to have a depression like what hit this country in the 30's? I guess the answer is eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.

hello, hello!

I was going to pay my bill, sometime I don't even open them till I get ready to pay. This was the case when I opened my phone bill, I nearly had a heart attack they said I hadn't pay last months bill and I had paid on the 14 of January with a postal money order. I had the stub and called and some how it took 6 days for them to get the payment. I don't know why but no doubt it was the US mail that caused this problem and I see they want to close one day a week. I wonder would we get better service that way? 6 days from here to Ky. is pretty slow service.

dogs and cat ready for food

The weather is still warm, 47 degrees for a low today. Thunderstorms are forecast tonight.

The senate is supposed to vote on the stimulus package soon. the tax payers are suppose to get a rebate of 500 dollars.

I have to go feed the chickens the rooster is calling me.

shirts and suit coats

Andrew Card of the late Bush crowd says Obama is not being presidential by not wearing a suit coat in the office. The problem with going out on a limb someone will come along and saw it off with you on it.

Card continued, "I don't criticize Obama for his appearance, I do expect him to send the message that people who are going to be in the Oval Office should treat the office with the respect that it has earned over history."

groundhog

The ground hog saw his shadow on the 2nd and so 6 more weeks of winter but the temperature is 49 degrees here at 4:30 in the morning, maybe he was confused.

Kelly came by with his wife to shower and brought his cloths to wash. I have enjoyed this black out since we have electricity because Kelly comes by ever afternoon. I don't usually see him unless I have a problem and call him because he works so much and he is a home body just like me.

When he came thro' the door he had cheese burgers and milk shakes and said he had cooked. His wife said that is how he cooks, I though it was nice to have a husband who cooks like that.

Cousin Winnie had her gall bladder removed, she joins the rest of us with grandma Powell's disease. Grandma suffered for years with her gall bladder and when Media care was passed she had hers removed and was very grateful to be rid of the suffering.

peanut butter

fleta's husband may have saved me from a fate worse than death. Everyday during the black out because I didn't have any thing better to do I would call George and tell him I wanted him to go find the fema people and get us those MRE. George was in the army for several years and he wanted nothing to do with MRE having had his fill of them along time ago. I really didn't want them but if he had got them I would have eat the peanut butter because I like it.

Every time I called George would say NO! and seems like he was right... this is the latest news flash...

CNN) -- Food kits recently distributed as part of a disaster relief effort in Kentucky and Arkansas may contain peanut butter contaminated with salmonella linked to a nationwide outbreak, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Wednesday.

Life as we know it

I am becoming convinced that our life style as we have become accustomed to it maybe coming to a end. people without jobs are growing in numbers every week and I see this as a domino effect as people have less to spend more jobs will be lost and more people will join the employment lines.

I made my way out to the propane tank to check my propane to see if I would have enough propane to last until my next check. I found a reading of 40% and that will be enough to hold me over. The propane is our only heat source.

I find it very sad that so many of the people coming into government have been found to be tax cheater and I wonder just how many more are out there flying below the radar?

We are suppose to have warmer nights for the next few days and I am glad. Kelly still is without electricity and has to come by after work to get water and to take a shower. I heard that Fema was in Oak Grove yesterday handing out bottled water.

I heard that our local grocery has meat to sell again since what they had when the power went out ruined.

The senate is arguing over the stimulus package and the bill is going no where. I am reminded of Nero who fiddled while Rome burned. As I see it the Republicans are hoping the Democrats will fail in their attempt to improve the economy so that they can get back into power but the problem is as I see it if they are not careful we may all go down the tube and if we do they will go with us.

Our little power outage gave me a wake up call as to what we might be facing if things continue to go down hill.

cat in the sun

Kelly still doesn't have electricity. I wish we had warm weather like we had the day I took this photo of the cat. The weather man says we will have better weather for the next 5 days.

about time

WASHINGTON - Former Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle on Tuesday withdrew his nomination to oversee the Health and Human Services Department, citing controversies over his taxes and his ties to the health care industry — and telling NBC News that a New York Times editorial also played a role.

He said he made a mistake if any of us made a mistake LIKE THAT THEY WOULD PUT US IN JAIL.

visitor

Kelly's wife is in the hospital and he still doesn't have electricity so he spent the night here. I think it had been at 30 years since I had him for a over night guest.
Kelly is my oldest son. He was born January 11, 1960.

the way we live or don't

When the electricity went out we lost all of our meat in our freezers and I realized right soon that most valuable assists I had was my chickens they lay eggs every day and if push had come to shove I could butcher one for a pot of chicken and dumplings.

Our society is living very close to the edge of disaster every day. The gas pumps were not working and the stores were closed if The electric had not come back on many of my neighbors would have faced starvation very soon because they didn't have a supply of foods that could be stored and eaten as time went on.

They have been telling us that we might have a major earth quake in this area some day and on the 2nd day of the black out I told my daughter if we ever were faced with that our life would be in real jeopardy.

today

His glossy feathers glistened
With dyes as richly red
As any tulip flaming
From out the garden bed.

I stole Fleta's red bird because nothing around here is very pretty at this time.
I got caught up on the news and found I hadn't missed much, The republicans and the Democrats in the senate are fighting over the stimulus package.
The Republicans are saying Obama is despicable of the white house because he is not wearing his suit coat.
A woman in never never land gave birth to 8 babies while she has 6 children at home, so much for birth control.
Kelly got home with high hopes of having electricity and found he was still living in the dark.
Daughter goes back to work today.yeah!
I found that one of the blogs I read has deleted the blog so I am wondering why Linda dropped out while I was in the dark How about it Linda?
Kelly was here before day light and he was looking at all the light and saying this place looks like a town.

up date

Cheryl Ann has electric, Green Forest has too. Barbara p. doesn't but she can go to Cheryl's. Kelly thinks he has when he gets home cause the neighbor below him , Marie Serbert has so we are getting back to normal here.
Tyson gave their employees a 10 pound box of chicken breast fully cooked so we have meat in the freezer again.
My granddaughter , Jessie poor may never get electric because she flagged down the electric men yesterday and told them she didn't have electricity and no heat. They told her she could go to a shelter and Jessie said a shelter hell! I am not going down and sleep in a room with a lot of strangers, no telling what disease they have!
Jessie is sort of like her grandmother.
Kelly found out the firemen and the city fathers were all housed up in the fire department, He told the mayor what he thought of him. My son and the mayor grew up to gather. The mayor's mother has been my life long friend but maybe not now. LOL

eat cake

I was reminded of the french Queen Marie Antoinette this morning when I mixed a cake to bake, She said when told the people had no bread said, "let them eat cake." then this reminded me of our blight at this time and the well to do are feeding their greed with big bonuses and jet planes perhaps some of our leaders should study the life of marie Antoinette and her last days.

Her extravagant lifestyle touched such a raw nerve with the impoverished people of France that she became like a lightning rod for criticism. As the French Revolution brewed in the minds of the people, she became a natural scapegoat, along with other symbols of decadence.

And perhaps the thing that Marie Antoinette is best known for today was her absolute disregard for the plight of the people she was sworn to protect.

Legend has it that when Marie Antoinette heard that the people of France had no bread, she said, "Let them eat cake."

feeding the dogs

I have mentioned here before about our neighborhood dogs and how we are over ran with the beast for once it was a blessing.

I cleaned our my freezer and I had two very large bags of thawed meat. I drug them to the porch and dumped out some of the stuff and it wasn't long before all the stuff was gone. I planed on moving the bags into the yard when the yard was clear of ice and I could get out with falling on my rear.

My neighbor who has at least 10 dogs came home and I opened the back door and told him about the dog food and said if you want to feed your dogs that are chained you can get some of the food. The young son came and took both bags and so I didn't have to dump the mess after all. This dog in the photo is one of his dogs.
