Clayton Mich.

CLAYTON, Mich. — This tiny village was to be ground-zero for a Christian revolution sparked by the planned killing of a local law officer and then snowballing into a violent battle and nationwide revolution, according to a federal indictment Monday against nine men accused of plotting the violence.

The Lenawee County village of a few hundred homes, about 50 miles northwest of Toledo, appears to the base for the militia group, known as the Hutaree.

The Christian-based, anti-government group is said to believe that the end times of Biblical scripture is nigh and that the men planned to be soldiers fighting alongside Jesus Christ.

Clayton resident Dick Ream, 67, described seeing the group — about a dozen — around town each month.

“They had a militia meeting every month. There were guys in uniforms running around. Some of them had guns,” he said. “It was no real surprise, with all these people being part of the militia, that something must have been up.”

Indicted were: David Brian Stone, 45, his wife, Tina Mae Stone, 44, his son, Joshua Matthew Stone, 21, all of Clayton, and his other son, David Brian Stone, Jr., 19, of Adrian, Mich.; Joshua John Clough, 28, of Blissfield, Mich.; Michael David Meeks, 40, of Manchester, Mich.; Thomas William Piatek, 46, of Whiting, Ind.; Kristopher T. Sickles, 27, of Sandusky, Ohio, and Jacob J. Ward, 33, of Huron, Ohio.

Easter messages

This is a message from one member in Michigan , a women who was fleeing south with her children after her husband was under arrest.
on March 16 members of this group planted colorful Easter eggs around Adrian Michigan filled with racial slurs and apparently this is what set the FBI and Home land security after these groups. How sad, lives wrecked and ruined and people like Sarah Palin can shoulder part of the blame.
The Federal Authorities have raided not only our group but also the Michigan Militia. They have hijacked their website and placed word there that they were not raided.
We need some help please. This has to stop. I am enroute south with my children using the wifi’s as I can.
They were catching others as they came to their rallying points, they broke into homes and took children and used the tasers on wives, my son who is 12 and I got out by crawling through the creeks behind our house.
My husband and others are taken, please call the press and tell them, if any in the Michigan Militia is still free please rally with them. Please help.

the round up

I found this article on one of the right wing, tea party sites and I thought how long did you idiots think the government would go with out taking action as for myself I think it is about time..

By Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

25 March 2010: A federal intelligence source reported in an interview last evening that the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security have been called in to “actively investigate incidents of violence and threats” made to at least ten Democrats and one Republican lawmaker since Sunday. Their involvement was reportedly requested by top House leadership and one unnamed, high-level White House official. According to this source, who agreed to speak to this writer under the strict condition of anonymity, “a ‘watch list’ has already been created that specifically names and turns their focus on various pro-life and tea-party organizations and individuals who are considered a threat to domestic security, continuity of government operations, and to the lives of lawmakers and their families.”

While published reports confirm that Capitol Police have been contacted and are addressing security concerns of lawmakers and the incidents of vandalism, the involvement of federal agencies has not been publicly disclosed, nor will it likely be on any official level. The reason, according to this source, is that high-level discussions between top lawmakers and agency heads are “exploring the application of the Patriot Act against any right-wing individual or group that poses a danger to government operations.” He added that “threat assessments and security measures for public assemblies at the Capitol, specifically focusing on conservative groups are being re-evaluated at the request of the White House and Democratic lawmakers

chicks

It is frosty here this morning but the sun is out and the birds are singing.
I saw McCain and Palin were going to campaign together in Arizona, maybe sister will go and get autograph on the palm of her hand.
The health care bill was signed into law Monday so now we will see what happens.
My tomato seeds have sprouted, now I am trying to keep them from damping off and trying to keep them warm. Year before last I had a nice pan of sets and they died over night so last year I didn't try to grow them, I bought my plants at walmart, they were not top drawer so I am trying to grow my own again. I had read there was a seed shortage but I had no trouble finding seeds then I thought oh, the plants will be really high since the word has gone out that seeds are scarce. We may see $5.00 tomato plants this year
We had a good 3 inch rain in the last 24 hours and everything is soaked again.
I got 15 eggs yesterday from my 15 hens. The little bantie is laying again she will be trying to set soon.

chickens and dogs

48 degrees this morning with thunderstorms in the forecast.

The hens were out and about and ready for greens this morning. I still have 10 chicks, no deaths yet.
The people next door have a vicious rottweiler dog on a chain and ever time I go on the back porch it lunges on the Chane at me and some day I know it will break the collar or the chain and attack me.
I have requested many times for them to move the dog which they have refused to do . Truth be told these people are very mean and vicious people. Yesterday when the man came to fill my propane tank I was worried because the gas man is afraid of this dog, I got to thinking about the dog and I decided that I would feed the dog every morning that way when she sees me she will think of food and since I handle the food she will get where when she picks up my smell in the air she will think Oh boy food. I just feed her some pork I had boiled and it was getting old, doesn't she look happy

Geo.Bush cleans his hands

This is really funny, Bill Clinton And George Bush went to Haiti and while greeting and shaking hands with the crowd which happen to be blacks George turns and wipes his hands on Bill's shirt and Clinton turned and looked at his shirt so I am sure George Bush did wipe his hands on Bill.
Click on the title and see the video for your self.

garden

The temperature is supposed to climb to 70 degrees today and I have decided to plant lettuce and radishes. April is the month to plant lettuce here but that is only 7 days away so here goes.
I have cleaned the brooder out and the sun is up so I will go feed the hens.

sun shine

The promise of a nice day, maybe the snow will all melt. The baby chicks are doing well . Tony went home from the hospital yesterday. Kelly had to go pick him up because of the road conditions. I ask Kelly why he didn't tell Tony to wait for a warmer day but I guess Kelly was afraid to say that. It seems they didn't get him release as soon as Tony thought they should and he got irate with them. They said now we know who you are , you are Patsy's son.

Araucana, the real mcCoy

This is an Araucana chicken. They are rumpless, and have feathers growing out of their ears.

Ameraucana Org.

This is an Ameraucana rooster, just think I maybe the proud owner of 10 of these beauties.
4 years ago when I first stumbled on to the fact that some chickens that started out of Chile and were called Aurcana laid blue eggs I tried to get information about the breed Ameraucana chickens that were different than Araucana in that Araucana had no tail and had feathers sprouting from the side of their heads and the hens lay blue colored eggs. The Ameraucana chicken sold by our hatcheries had a tail and a beard under the beak and lay blue/green eggs often called Easter eggers.
Now there is an Ameraucana club and certain people advertising on the web that they have the real Ameracuana chickens and the hatcheries are selling counterfeits Easter egger chickens. They are asking several dollars for their chickens eggs to be sent thro' the mail for hatching. You also can find people selling all sorts of chicken breeds as the REAL breed and they will tell you the hatchery chickens are inferior to the REAL chickens which they have and they are willing to sell you eggs so you can hatch your own REAL chicken breeds.
I think that the whole think is a crock and people are trying to make money from people who are gullible and will buy anything. I have actually seen advertisements which says the hatcheries chickens are breed to lay more eggs and so that makes hatcheries chicks of poor quality. guess what, I want my chickens to lay lots of eggs that is the reason for having chickens.
I am providing the link in the title to the Ameraucana club in my title in case you want to look.
Now if I have some pullets in my feed store chickens next year I can try selling REAL Ameraucana chicken eggs for a high price.
We are getting sleet here and have been getting ice in some form since last evening.

from cousin Winnie

A Indian goes into a cafe leading a buffalo and says Want coffee."The waiter says, "Sure, Chief. Coming right up." He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee..... The Indian drinks the coffee down in one gulp, Turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, Causing parts of the animal to splatter everywhere
and then just walks out.
The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand, pulling Another bull buffalo with the other. He walks up to the counter and says to The waiter "Want coffee."The waiter says "Whoa, Tonto! We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What was all that about, anyway?" The Indian smiles and proudly says, "Training for position in United States Congress: Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, Leave mess for others to clean up, Disappear for rest of day."

Ameraucana chicks

Donnie came to clean out the chicken pen and he thought he would get the pen cleaned today. He got 1/3 cleaned and said to his wife I hate to say it but we will have to come back another day. I didn't say so but if he gets it all he will have to make 2 more trips. meanwhile the chickens are busy making more manure.
I bought 10 Ameraucana chicks or Easter egger chicks at the feed store today.supposedly they are all pullets I am hoping for at least 5 pullets.
What are Easter Egg chickens?
The Ameraucana Breeders Club defines an Easter Egg chicken or Easter Egger as any chicken that possesses the blue egg gene, but does not fully meet any breed descriptions as defined in the APA and/or ABA standards. Further, even if a bird meets an Ameraucana standard breed description, but doesn’t meet a variety description or breed true at least 50% of the time it is considered an Easter Egg chicken.

green growing things

I like to see vegetables grow and I have been out side for 2 hours working in the dirt so I can grow vegetables. I am going to plant lettuce, radishes, cucumbers and tomatoes. I have my onions set planted already. I like to grow potatoes but that is a plant you need lots of room and I don't have a place to grow them.
the day promises to be a nice warm day. The sun is shining, the first time in several days.
I think I will go plant tomatoes seeds now. bye.

1 little indian, 2 little Indians,3 little Indians boys

Prepare for war heap big government man coming with papers. calls him self George One day.

manure

My nephew came and got the chicken manure. It had been 7 years of waste and I was so glad to get the house cleaned out.
I though Donnie would bail out before he got it cleaned but no he cleaned the whole house and as he left he said he would like two more loads like that and I told him if you mean it you can come clean out the pen and you should get two loads there. i was really lucky to get him to do the work 'cause I would have had to pay at least $100 to get it cleaned if you could find someone to do the work.

Elkies or ELK

Fleta posts photos on her blog to confuse Helen, she should have told me of her plan. Helen called and said what is the deal with Fleta's blog and the elk? I said Oh, I don't know when but she has been down on the Buffalo river 'cause that is where all the elk are.
A few years ago there were 3 on Jerry Tanners land behind the chicken plant, they disappeared and I suppose someone had Elk steak but if they were caught it would have been pretty expensive steak.
Fleta said the farmers along the river had no recourse when the Elk moved unto their land, doesn't seem right to me. How can the government take your land for the benefit of Elk and you can't do anything to protect your living?
I think I will do a google search and see about this.

growing chickens

My nephew, Donnie came by yesterday to get eggs, seems he has decided that he needs to raise some chickens. he had bought a incubator and he said he had been putting 3 or 4 eggs a day in it and he had the incubator turned up to high because his house was cold and drafty. I told him to go home and get those eggs out of the incubator before they explode! Donnie was also talking about growing vegetables and had a need of manure for his garden I told him he could clean out my chicken house if he wanted for free.
I hope he comes and does the job before he loses interest in growing vegetables.

My brother went to My sons house yesterday and borrowed his incubator, Gilbert had decided he was going to raise chickens. I don't expect either my nephew or my brother will raise any chickens.

Most arm chair farmers just fade away when the sun gets bright and the lakes are calling come and fish and drink some beer.

All farm animals need constant attention every day not just when you feel like taking care of the animals and chickens are the same. I am hoping for warmer weather this week.

Dan the man

Dear Dan using the word Obama and watermelon in the same sentence rarely works out well!
Dan Rather has been a supported of the Democrats for years and less we forget CBS fired him because he released a story about George Bush being a draft dodgier but he should have known saying what he did about Obama not being able to sell watermelon beside the road was going to go over like a lead balloon.
Rather wrote an apology/explanation for his watermelon comment in the Huffington Post. "I was talking about Obama and health care and I used the analogy of selling watermelons by the side of the road. It's an expression that stretches to my boyhood roots in Southeast Texas, when country highways were lined with stands manned by sellers of all races. Now of course watermelons have become a stereotype for African Americans and so my analogy entered a charged environment. I'm sorry people took offense," He wrote.

BUSH'S BRAIN

George Bush's brain has written a book and some who read it says it is a book of lies, no surprise to me , the 8 years of the Bush's
eight years in office was nothing except lies
The title of his book is COURAGE AND CONSEQUENCE, I would say that we the people has courage to live thro' 8 years of the brain and his actions and the consequences is what we are facing in high debt and high unemployment
You can read his book if you want but not me..
One wonders if the admiration was reciprocated. Doubtful. President Bush repaid Rove’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel-like loyalty by bestowing a nickname on him. No, not “Bush’s Brain” as the press called him—nor something cool like “M-Kat”, Bush’s name for the ever-fashionable media man, Mark McKinnon.
Turd Blossom.
That’s what Mr. Bush called the man who took him from a dry drunk to the Oval Office. For Rove to remain faithful to a man who shat upon him in public and in private is, I believe, remarkable—maybe even admirable. It does seem the Bushes and other political causes became for Karl the family he always wanted and needed but never had.

Health insurance and BIG companies!

Blogger Cheryl said...

Big companies in our area would not have to provide health insurance anymore if the bill passes just think of the savings they will have.

I went on line to see what was said about big companies and the health insurance bill .If a company has 50 employees they will have to provide health insurance for their employees or face a fine of $750 per employee, now Cheryl and I both have worked for Tyson Foods in the pass and I figured that she was thinking of our former company. perhaps Cheryl was thinking of the public option and thinking that would keep Tyson from having to provide their employees insurance.I think if the bill passes Tyson will have better insurance for the workers. I would tell Cheryl that Tyson insurance is not as good as it was when we worked for them.

all insurance companies are providing less and charging more every year and I think something must be done or we are all going down the tube besides give it a chance and maybe you will like it and if you don't you can do like Rush Limbaugh and flee the country.

pass the bill!

Oh, my goodness sakes a live the health bill must pass, Why you may ask? is some one ill and needing medical help that I know? No there is a far better reason that we need to pass the health bill soon, even my 5 year old nephew is giddy with the prospects of the results as to what will happen when the bill becomes law.

IF Democrats didn't have all the incentive they needed to pass health care reform already, then conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh may have provided the final push they needed by vowing to flee the country if the reform bill is passed.
Responding to a caller who asked him where he would go for health care if Congress enacts reform, Limbaugh replied,
I don't know. I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented -- I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa !

spring garden?

Looks like George is plowing his garden now if we can stop him from hauling any more chicken manure and dumping it on the ground Fleta might have some garden this year.
what is that white pipe across the road ? it looks as if the water line is above the ground.
