Grandma and the Freezer
my life and times In the early 70’s in a small town near where I live there was a man whose Grandma died. The grandson loved grandma and decided he would pray for her to be raised from the dead. He went to sears and bought a chest type freezer for 230 dollars. He enlists his fellow church members to help him pray. He puts grandma in the freezer and runs a drop cord to the back of his old station wagon. After removing the seat he has room for the freezer. Moving back and forth from the pray meeting one night a local police officer pulls him over for a broken tail light. After shining the flash light into the station wagon, he ask what do you have in the freezer? Grandson tells him Grandma. We are praying for her and she is going to rise from the dead on the 7th day. The law doesn’t want to tell him he is crazy but they know they can’t have him hauling grandma around in the back of the old station wagon. He will not give her up and they don’t really want to take her by force esp. with the church members behind him. After a few days of praying by the church members and sweating by the cops a funeral home offers to put grandma in the ground at no cost. The grandson agrees and down she goes. He takes the freezer home and I hear is still keeping his fruits and vegetables in it. Waste not want not.

Grandma wasn't Mrs. Birdseye, by any chance, was she?
