They are having a party in NEW ORLEANS.
They call it MARI GRAS.
The New Orleans city council president Oliver Thomas has announced that if you are not able body and willing to work ‘We don’t want you! They want to limit public housing to people who can walk and use their arms.
The people I saw on television the week of the flood proved beyond any doubt they could walk and use their arms .
They not only could walk with out food or water. They waded nasty, polluted water up to their chin. They also used their arms to carry their children and their old and crippled.
I ask you who in their right mind would want to go back to that place to work for minimum wage and wait for the next big wind to come and blow another flood for you to cross.On a sad note I noticed that Don knotts had died. 81 years !. remember Barney fife? I first saw him on the Steve Allen show. He entertained people .No matter how bad you felt or how many mistakes you had made you still could look to Barney to make worst mistakes.

Your post about New Orleans caught my interest because I live only about 60 miles from New Orleans. That wouldn't have caused me to comment except that I read further and discovered your age (I'm 63) and location (I grew up in Springfield, MO) and that you're new to blogging (today marks the
end of my first month at it).
