my eggs

when I seperated the hens to give daughter in law I picked the colors I wanted to keep now remember jacko only has 4 hens and she got 3 eggs and I got 6 but 3 were banty eggs. Maybe I should have looked for something besides color when i picked out Jacko's hens, Huh Posted by Picasa

What a lot of gorgeous eggs. I have never heard of Jacko chickens - maybe they have a different name in the UK

Will you eat them all or do you sell them.

Whilst you are sleeping I am off to my allotment to see how many eggs I have to collect.

Really cold and miserable grey day - and my filling in a tooth fell out so have a face ache LOL

And the dentist line is permanently busy. LOL

Just another Monday then LOL

Really pretty eggs. My neighbor also has banty chickens because they are so hardy and take good care of themselves. They normally run loose in the horse pens at her house and help keep the flies down. We have so many raptor birds here though she has to bring the chicks inside to raise until they are big enough to take care of themselves. Her husband is a paramedic at a hospital emergency room and he sells the extra eggs to the people he works with.
