This grows in my yard, we called it cheat when I was a girl.
The cows loved IT and I pull it for my chickens now. They just go wild when I throw it in their pen. They know the name because I hear them yelling CHEAT! CHEAT!

I wonder what the real name of that plant is. I do not recognise it.
I should have tried feeding all those weeds I dug up from Maxine's garden to the chooks.
I have spotted one or two in the flower bed behind, so that is what I shall do tomorrow.
I think they have grown from the bird seed that the birds have dropped, so logically they should eat it. - Unless they threw out the seed because they did not like it
just catching up with you, love your bantams so cute! your lettuce and onions will be great, fresh vegetables are so good. I love eating stuff from the garden.
and I loved your 'body on the truck' story, what a laugh!
I know, I know! The real name of the plant is Oxalis. I learned the real name from Mike at this site: http://ogblay.blogspot.com/2006/04/great-battle-between-good-and-evil-has.html
(Sorry, no link, you'll have to copy and paste.) Growing up in Missouri, we called it sour grass. My parakeet loved it, too.
