Good news I cleaned out the baby chickens brooder this morning and counted them for the first time. I had 53 birds. The company sent me 56. I ordered 50 so I think they treated me very well.
If anybody wants to order chickens the company's name is Cackle Hatchery in Lebanon MO. They are on line at www.cacklehatchery.com , their prices were as good as I found on line.
I am watching them to determine what breeds I got, I see Cochin. And Sebright. I think I have several Japanese Banties and Possibly Rosecomb banties.
They have settled down and are eating and drinking just fine so I should raise what I have now.
I also think I have some of the Araucana banties, these are the chickens who lay green and blue eggs.
So long for chicken ridge.

We used to have Arucauna's....the cockerel was really fierce! He lived for about 8 years and ruled the roost. He only had two genuine Aracauna ladies but he used to service all the hens we had and boss them all about....all the full size chickens too!
