One row garden
This is my one row garden. I have straight eight cucumbers, goose neck yellow squash, Arkasnas traveler tomatoes, loose leaf lettuce and onions in this 24 foot one row garden.
This spring I cleaned my chicken house and dumped the liter in the trench topped with garden soil.
I bound the edges with 3 rail road ties that I bought to stop the soil from washing away in my yard ever time it rains.
My only problem is the grass that keeps coming up from the bottom of the pile. We lunched on smothered lettuce and onions twice now and my son gathered a sack to grace his supper table when he picked up my chickens.
When the lettuce is finished I think I will plant marigolds in that space for our enjoyment.

Looks really good - and what a selection of plants you packed in. A great idea.
It just goes to show what you can do in a strip garden. Everything looks healthy here.
