A boy called bear

I was told this story a few years ago and I know that is true. I can't name any one so as to protect the innocent
There was this 6 year old boy who's nick name was bear. His father had a boat and they planned a fishing trip for the week end. Mother stayed home and dad and bear started out early one Saturday morning . They had a great week end bear took his dog and it was a week end to remember cooking hot dogs and playing on the beach with the dog.
Sunday evening dad hooked up the boat and the happy trio started home. Now dad had some beer and he took a few being thirsty and in a general good mood.
Soon near a major city in the state where they lived the highway patrol threw the light on dad and pulled him over.
he had the beer, a dog and a six year old in the cab of the pick up. They called the mother and told her they had dad locked up, the dog was in the pound and if she didn't appear at the station in 1 hour bear was going to foster care.
Mother broke the speed limit to get bear ,she left dad in jail and the dog in the pound.
Next day it back to school for bear and mom too because she worked at the school.At the close of the day Bear's teacher hails mom in the hall as mom was leaving and tells her bear has been telling tall stories in class.
Teacher told mom that Bear 's imagination has been working over time. He told me that his dad was in jail and his dog also and mama had to come get me cause they had me in jail too.
The mom assured the teacher that she would have a talk with bear and made a hasty get away.
