Henry Powell and Matilda Hilton were married in this court house on Feb. 21, 1825 in Washington co. Kentucky. This is how it looks today. They were my Great great greatgrand parents.
They moved to northern MO. And were pioneers on the frontier. Matilda is buried some where in northern MO. And Henry is buried in Bates Co. MO.
Our people moved across the face of MO. And landed in northwest Arkansas in 1903.
Because of all those moves from all those places I became a Arkansas Hilly Billy.

hill billys sound like interesting people, I don't think scotland has them though, send some back!!
Claire.. think my husband's Renfroes came from Scotland...but in the 1700s.
