THE CHAIRS

Do you see the rocker grandma is setting in. Notice my sister next to her. Grandpa bought a pair of these rockers from a man in Alpena AR. They are hand made. Fleta is looking at the rocker and thinking about, hmmm I want those rockers. Guess where they are today. Posted by Picasa

And you all say...I have all of the old stuff? Fleta has the precious things. She said Grandma Powell took over Grandpa's rocker when he passed because it was roomier and more confy. She left the Grandma rocker for company to sit in. I have sat them many hours at her house and listened to the that old clock tick, tock, tick, tock. I could not to sleep very well when I stayed all night. My place was on the couch in the living room with the clock. It would get louder and louder in my ears. Then I would think...I need to pee, but was too scared to go down the dark hall to the one bathroom upstairs. Today I would pee my pants.

I would not trade you Old Sister for any of the bloggersdom girls.
I will park in a far off space, and just keep you all!

I wish I could see the rocker better. I wouldn't mind being adopted into the family. Ya'll sound like lots of fun. My step-father was a Powell from Missouri I think. He was a great guy.

I do not have both rockers. Only one. Brother has the other, but he is older, fatter and has smoked most of his life so he will die before I do. It is only a few steps up the road to his house, so when he goes, I will leave George and Kathy to call for the hearse. I will be getting the other rocker in the back of George's truck for a short trip down the road before my sisters show up.
