Today is the date when in the 2001 our country was attacked by the radical Moslems in New York city, I thought perhaps we might have another major event today but so far so good.
My sister an I were talking about the event on 9/11 and she said that the people who do these things hate us and are willing to die to kill us. This is something foreign to our way of thinking. We may consider some nations as our enemies or a group of people but we are not programmed in such a way as to be willing to commit suicide to kill our enemy.
this is it, seems to me ,to be the major difference in our society. Why do they hate us ? Since 1948 our government has been an ally of Israel and these Moslem nations hate Israel. I think this is the main reason that we are hated around the world. Our government is the major world power on this earth at this time. Our people live in the lap of luxury and have wealth and comfort that is not possible in other countries. Many people around this earth can not even dream of the luxury that we deem as our privilege.
I think this is another reason that many peoples hate our very name. The Moslems call us the great Satan. They believe that it is their duty to kill us!
can we survive? I don't know. I do think that we are in for major changes in our life style and perhaps we will no longer be a world power. Time will tell. As far my self, I don't think I will be here to see this happen because I am nearing the 70 years that God promised me.
When Jesus went into heaven he promised to return, I say come quickly Lord Jesus.

The disparity of wealth, opportunities, ideologies, religious beliefs and customs between the western world and the eastern is dramatic and has led to all kinds of fear and suspicion. I doubt there'd be so much interest in striking the US and the rest of the western world if we weren't occupying their lands.

Patsy it is all very scarey. We know as Christains that Satan works like this...this is why we should always be trying to win someone to Christ. It is a sad day but still one we can be thankful on.
Then on top of everything else, we buried our nephew on 9/11.
Our minister preached a really good sermon about remembering 9/11 and told us how we are each to be a part of the puzzle that puts our nation back together - I wanted to say, Had Enough? Vote Democratic!
