I told you I bought all kinds of cleaning supplies to clean the house because sister is coming for a visit. I haven't cleaned any thing yet. My excuse being I have to wait or everything will just get dirty again, truth is I am reading.
I like to read murder mysteries. Some of my favorite authors are Patrice Cromwell, John Gresham and Sue Grafton.
I have read all of their books. I am reading the last book by Janet Evanovich, Twelve Sharp now.
My sisters Betty and Fleta will tell you they don't read fiction. It is below their intellect level.
I saw some thing on T V the other day that gave me a feeling of superior mental ability.
Studies have been done on people who are interning old age and it was found that people who read fiction retain better memory ability. Not people who do cross word puzzles but people who like to read a good fiction.

we all know cross words do not work......
Boy I hate to think what my memory would be is I didn't read fiction. I read a lot of fiction - and for as long as I can remember (hah) I've had a lousy memory.
I know you all know it because I do the crosswords.
Well, I am reading Cherokee by Blood. I am buying all 9 volumes.
If you like wpa interviews you would like it. It is just little snipits of people tracing their ancestry. I am loving it. After I read volume 1 I am going to read, the 5 books I got yesterday at the Library.
Life and Times of W. H. Arnold
Life and Times Howling Wolf
Truth and Beauty
I got 2 more but Laura took them home to read and I can't remember the names...so Helen is right about
the crosswords. Teehee
Patsy, what a co-inky-dink! I'm reading "Twelve Sharp" now, too. Speaking of mysteries, it's a mystery to me how my house will ever get sparkling clean as much as I love to read.
PATSY I love Cornwell & Grafton!! Too funny! I haven't read any in a while but I do love them!!!
