Pretty cows. Are they near where you live?

Remember the Borden cow on the old commercials. She was the icon of contented cows.

Yes, Patsy, childrens' feet are beautiful and wonderfully made.

When I see the Holsteins, I remember ours. There was Syble and Spot. Spot was most white with black spots and Syble was more black with white lightening streaks. I wish I could remember more of their names. I always hated milking the cows and said it was on thing I would not do when I grew up...and I never have. After we sold the diary and we got down to just Brownie the brown swiss and a little Jersey cow that was for our own milk, Fleta had to milk in the morning and me in the evening as I could nto get up in time to milk and get on the school bus. So long ago. So long ago.

The Jersey cow was named Jersey...we were very origional...When you left home I milked morning and night...Gilbert could never learn to milk...after I left home daddy milked the cow...we had 1 holstein cow that was real mean...it was when we had that bunch we milked in the new barn...before we sold them all..I am sure she had a name but I can't remember it...daddy always called her crazy not just wild.

Yes, Dot you are right it was Elsie.

Helen, that wild cow was nearly all white...wish I could remember her name. I bet Richard would know. He came to help when Daddy was trying to break her to milk. It was a wild affair.
