the late chicks.

In August I had 7 chicks to hatch and because all my pens were full the little hen had to raise her babies under diffcult condition. She has managed to raise 4 chicks and looks like I have 2 pullets and 2 roosters . She has done very will considering all trouble she faced. I never saw any of the chicks dead I soppose they got out of the pen and became cat food. Posted by Picasa

That's a picture of mother and children, isn't it. It could be most any species - you'd see the babes staying close by.

Ah - bless their little star fish feet.

How many chickens do you have, Patsy? A neighbor of mine keeps them as a hobby. She has about 60 of them, all different kinds. She puts out one or two dozen eggs to sell every day - they go fast, I have to get there early to get a dozen. The eggs are cool, different colors, even some blue ones and some really small ones.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, always appreciate the company!

It's a shame they don't all survive but it's like so many other species, only a few will survive!
