try this.

Beer Can Chicken
A can of beer ensures that this barbecued chicken is moist both inside and out.
Ingredients1 chicken, 1 can beer, 3/4 fullpaprika, groundcloves, crushedblack peppercinnamon, groundcumin powdersaltolive oil
Method
1. Sprinkle chicken with spices (to taste). Coat with olive oil.2. Massage spices into chicken.3. Insert open beer can into chicken cavity. 4. Stand chicken upright (so that it balances on the beer can) and barbecue. As the chicken cooks, the beer will moisten the chicken from the inside. Note: Very high temperatures may damage the can. The chicken should be cooked at 180°C for 60-90 minutes and once cooked, remove the can.
I am going to the rooster pen with a ax in hand. got to buy a can of beer. turn the chicken loose drink the beer, throw the can in trash.

Patsy, have you ever really cooked chicken like that? I wonder if it's worth all the trouble.

Sounds a bit dodgy but I am sure it would work LOL

I have a friend who did cook her chicken like this. She said it was good but she probably would, in future, do just what you decided to do with the beer.
