I had not watched the news all day so I thought I should see what was going on in the world. The first Item on my TV was that Laura Bush had attended a part at the Kennedy center wearing a red dress and 3 other women were wearing the same dress.
What a disaster, what a big story, These 4 women had the same dress at the party. Oh by the way the dress cost 8500. 00 dollars. Mulpliy that times 4 and you have the grand total of 3400 thousand dollars.
this is obscene in a world where our soldiers are dying in Iraq and all the people of Iraq are living in danger every minute of their days our leaders are spending that kind of money for a dress that I am sure wal-mart has a better looking dress of 19.95 cents.
We have children going to bed hungry in this country, old people who must decide whether to buy food or heating fuel and the big story is a red dress.
This makes you long for Mrs. Jimmy Carter and her cloth coat!

This was interesting. Apparently it wasn't a designer that these women all bought from for surely a designer would have steered three away from the same dress already purchased. So where is the rack on which these dresses were hung, waiting for the shoppers? What's the rest of this story???
I think it's terrible that the First Lady would purchase such an expensive dress to wear while, as you said, children go hungry and our men & woman are at war. I just cannot believe the money that is spent needlessly and just to show "status"!
