Yesterday and last night it rained and rained. I thought some of my little chicks might drown but I counted 18 in the pen and probably the others are there some where. The hen and her 10 will be fine because she will cover them. The older chicks crowd under the light and that is where the roof is on that pen. I have hen's hatching any time and it is a problem as to where I am going to put them.
Son's hatchery chicks will arrive Friday and I don't know whether I will let him take them home or not , I am afraid he will go off to work and let them go with out water.
