Rhode Island Red Bantams

My red girls are getting red combs but I have only one laying at this time. I have about decided not to breed any more pure breed cochins. I may get rid of my white rooster and run the white cochins hens with my Rhode Island red rooster. The reason being the cochin wants to set all the time. I really don't mind them not laying but a bunch of broody hens can get to be a pain if they are broody all the time.
I will have company sometime today, the nurse has to come everyday to dress my wound now. The opening is about the size of a kitchen match head but it has to fill in from the bottom up. I hope and pray it will continue healing.

The reds are so pretty. Hope the wound will completely heal.

You continue to mend, Patsy, and that makes us all so happy.
