Heat

This is a cozy sight, My neighbor ran a stove pipe out his trailer window and installed a wood stove. I complained about it around here for a day ABOUT THE TRAILER CATCHING ON FIRE AND THEN BURNING US ALL OUT until I thought if propane gets any higher we may have to do the same so I might ought to shut up which I did.
My black hen has babies, I saw 2 yesterday. I have to go in and move her today and I dread it. I think I will put the babies in a box and shove them into the pen then throw her in after them. As soon as daylight arrives I will go out and move them.
I killed a banty rooster day before yesterday and cleaned it. I made chicken and egg noodles. Pretty good. I didn't tell daughter where the chicken came from and she ate them with gusto. Daughter will not eat home grown chicken if she knows what it is. We have got really high flutent around here in the last few years.
Son brought a package of deer meat awhile back and I cooked it, she looked at it and said , "does it taste wild or gamy?" I thought where in the world did she hear that and then I realized from the stupid people at her job. I said it's good but if you don't want it I will eat it all. SHE ATE IT AND SAID IT WAS GOOD!
When I went out I had 3 baby chicks so I started to put them in the box and scoot them back in the brooder but then I decided to put the unhatched egg in also. Nothing ventured nothing gained. I looked out just now and the hen has settled in the box so she might hatch another chick or so by night.

She will kill the bantie rooster when we come!

It is so cold in my house I may stick a stove pipe out my window and build a good fire.

Patsy, somewhere along the way I got the same ideas as your daughter so I wouldn't dare eat at your house!

I'd eat anything you'd fix, Patsy. I imagine a chicken you raised and fed and cared for would taste a lot better than a store-bought one.
