It's been so dreary today I have laid in the bed and read most of the day. I have been reading one of Dorothy Gilman's books. "MRS. POLLIFAX UNVEILED" I enjoy her books. I did make a pot of soup early and some pies. I made a vanilla cream and one Cherry pie then son showed up and I sent the cherry home with him. I made my own pie crust, something I had not done in a long time. I still remembered how. They were very good.
Daughter heard me tell son he could have the cherry pie and as he was going to his pickup she said I wanted the cherry pie with Ice cream! I said he is still out in the yard, run and tell him you want the pie. She didn't move, I guess she knew it would be a lost cause.

Cherry pie with ice cream sounds good. I made Ingie a birthday cake..tomorrow is the day. she said she wanted white cake and white icing.
Your pies sound good! Not many can make a pie crust these days.
Can you believe I only learned to make a pie crust in my 50's? It's actually quite easy so I'm wondering why the whole idea intimidated me so much.
