I had a computer adventure. I down loaded Microsoft 's latest version of Internet explorer a few months ago and last night it stopped working. I couldn't Google or any thing else for a search engine. Fleta told me after I had done this I shouldn't have done it. After the fact is a little late.
I found I could go to my picasa start my album loading and then click off and go to open Internet exploder and I HAD MY GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE, BUT WHEN I CLICKED OFF I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I DID THE PICASA TRICK A COUPLE MORE TIMES AND WAS ABLE TO GET ON.
On my Google page they have had a IE7 advertisement saying down load with Google management page.
I went to bed and lay there thinking. at midnight unable to sleep I got up and tried again. no way would it , it just kept saying "connecting" but didn't!
I did the Picasa trick and started downloading ie7 from the Google site. I kept thinking what if this doesn't work? Fleta will kill me!
It took 2 hours to down load and after down loading ,not knowing if it would work I installed it. First thing it came on the screen removing other version of internet explorer. I got really scared, I thought what will I do now if this doesn't work and I don't have any Internet explore?
Then I thought I still have the original disks for my computer so if the worse happens Fleta can reinstall my old version after she kills me.
It works great. I like it much better than the version I had and I go straight to the Google page now with out waiting for the connecting crap.
It is cold here and I only got up to see if my IE7 was still working so I am going back to bed to take a nap. It is 6:30 am and 20 degrees.
daughter is going to a little surprize when she gets up and goes on the computer.

Isn't it amazing you could fix this......maybe you could get a job fixing people's computers....make them bring them to your house....

You are brave, Patsy, and proved it twice - you fixed your computer problem all by yourself and you avoided being killed by Fleta. Bravo.
My computer's in a mess. Can you fix it? lol
Well, it is a good think you got it fixed. I would have just made you use it the way it was.

I am proud of all you can do on the computer. When folks tell me what they can't do ...I tell them about my sister who never used one until she was an old woman and now she is better than most of the young cats!!
