cold

It as cold as a blue goose is a saying we used when we were young and it is that cold today.
I took the chickens hot water this morning and they were grateful.
My white pekin is broody but I told her "no eggs until it gets warm".
I don't want any more hens trying to keep the babies warm.
It is 21 degrees but feels like zero.
Betty is getting a lot more eggs than I am but I probably is warmer there.She got 17 yesterday and I got seven. I got 19 day before yesterday but I found a nest in the hen house that I had over looked. This is probably what she did.
