I found this new blog. have a look and check out his post on a black president.
“What better place than here? What better time than now? ”
You heard, you’ve read it. Maybe you’ve thought it. Perhaps you’ve even said it.
“America isn’t ready for a black president.”
“Americans will not vote for a black candidate for the White House.”
Something like that. Sound familiar?
And these comments are on liberal blogs. We’re not talking about the raving, drooling nonsense on freeregurgitation.com or littlegreennoballs or whatever the right-wing rant sites are called. We’re talking about the so-called “progressive” side of the cyber-sandbox. These are the folks who supposedly stand for equality, diversity, social justice, and all that good stuff. And they are the ones who say it can’t be done, it won’t be done, it can never be done, and so why bother. Some of them are saying that even though they can vote tomorrow, they’re staying home.
This is US I’m talking about. Our peers. Our community. Us.
To which I must reply: If not now, then when? If not us, then who?
Click on the title and take a look. "quakeragitator" will make you think about life in this country!

That IS an interesting blog, one I could spend a lot of time reading. I'll go back and dig deeper but right now I'm gearing up to head to Memphis for the weekend.
