We had another drenching yesterday from 5 to 7 in the pm. The chickens are laying well now. 21 eggs yesterday. It is a chilly 41 degrees now at 8:20. My world is turning green.

I looked at your blog after I got home from school and thought man 21 eggs. I have only been getting 7 to 9 a day for the last several days. Well, I went down to the chicken pen and I had 22 eggs. I guess it was because the sun was shining today that they laid so many eggs. I have about 6 banties setting and I have to rake them off my nest each day to get my eggs. I wish I had a break up pen. I think if I lock them up with water and only a little feed for 3 days they will quit setting...is that right?
