Larkspur?

Delphinium exaltatum
Common Name: Tall Larkspur
Stately spikes of purplish blue flowers on tall stems bloom in July and August. This first-rate plant brings real grace to any landscape. Handsome shallowly cut foliage forms a nice mound. Butterflies, bees and other pollinators visit the flowers. I have been trying to determine what Betty's wild flower is and this is the closes I was able to come. First photo was Betty's and the second was one I found on the net.

The picture may be a little fooling for it is coming off that bush and not straight from the ground...it was on a bush like small tree. Pretty anyway.
