peony

There was a time when every peony flower you saw in our area was pink and I like those best but mine are white and red ones naturally.
My baby chicks will be in may 7 and I have 50 pounds of chick starter setting here ready to go.
It is cool here at 5:30 in the morn and I have my wall heater going. Sammy , my son is coming today to till up me a spot to plant cucumbers and squash. I have 3 tires filled with soil ready for the tomato plants. I went to wal-mart to buy dirt to fill the tires because Sammy was giving me all sorts of reasons that he couldn't bring it from home. Wal-mart is a good place to find what you need but they only have what the have and yesterday they did not have any top soil. I bought miracle grow potting soil for 10 dollars a bag to fill the tires. My tomatoes are going to be very expensive but oh well. There was a time when Tanners hardware carried all sorts of dirt in a bag but Jerry died last year and I was afraid the new owners would not have the stuff I wanted.That would have meant another trip back to wal-mart and more gas to put in the car. So I just shut my eyes and bought it. When I was able I always went around with a wheel borrow and got my dirt but can't do that any longer.
I have 10 hens setting on eggs in the hen house. I don't even go in the house except to put out feed. I told daughter we might have to buy eggs if I don't figure a way to tell the setting hens from the laying hens.
