Son came over and plowed me a place for vegetables. Tomorrow I am going to plant 2 kinds of squash and cucumbers and I sent daughter to get bean seed and will have green beans also.
After all that we came into the house to rest and I decided to walk out on the porch, It doesn't take long to rest if all you do is boss, anyway I heard all heck breaking lose in the hen house. I have 10 setting hens and the eggs will hatch as they were lay ed because I just gave up on trying to set them.so I gathered up 9 chicks and put them under a light in a box. I left the hens to go back and hatch more chicks. Helen called and she is doing well. I think this might be my last year so I am going to do what I please from now on.

doing what you want...is a very good idea...whether you have one year or many.
