rain again

I rushed out and feed the chickens in the rain. When I came back in I opened the door and snapped a photo of the garden.
My marigolds are blooming and the hollyhocks are putting on blooms on my younger plants. I planted seed this spring and have 2 new plants.I don't why it is but I have a hard time getting the seed to sprout.
My flower seed for Hyacinth been flower hasn't come up so I think they are a dud.
All the cosmos and marigolds I transplanted have lived. I should have lots of flowers in July.
I went out between down pour and move 5 zinnia plant that came up in the marigold bed. They should live because when I dug a hole it filled up with water.
My grandmother Powell always had zinnias in her garden and I never see that flower with out remembering her.
