Flowers

My gladiolus are blooming. I planted these flowers 6 years ago in a row and now I only have a few left but they were worth the price considering how long they have supplied me with blooms each summer.
The white fuzzy thing is pretty but not to be desired because it is the dreaded thistle that mares our Fields and wood lands. I would take a hoe in the spring and dig up every one of these plants when my health was better but this year they have gained a foot hold near my fence.

Hi Patsy, I love the flower picture. We have thistles here, too, and they will take over a field in no time at all.
