Strawberry jam ?

remember I picked some green apples and boiled them down to get the juice to use for home made petrin, well i sent to the store by daughter to get me frozen strawberries because I didn't have any fruit to make jam with.
I made strawberry jam and here is a picture of the jar. it is pretty but I think the apple flavor covered the taste of the strawberries. I think I will give to son and he wont know the difference! When it gets cool I will see if it is jelled or is syrup.
Oh well I wanted to try it and I did.
