August 2

No one is blogging much. Some people must have a life out side of their computer.
I feed the cats and chickens then I wash the dishes. Does that remind you of Helen?not that she would feed the cats and chickens but she always is working at something.
Fleta hauled gravel yesterday. I don't know what is going on with Betty. She usually does a lot of computerizing in the summer but not this year,Of course Erin is posting pictures of that beautiful boy.
Oh yeah, I have two quarts of green apple petrin if anyone want to make jelly.
A week ago I cut 2 sticks off my neighbors Rose of Sharon and yesterday I noticed they were all ready putting on root buds so I went over and got 4 more. The rose bush cutting I took are just setting in the water doing nothing.
The weeds have over took my garden/flower beds and it is so hot I can't do anything about them.
6 weeks and we can begin to think about cool weather and trying to decide how we are going to keep warm this winter. I may go down and stay with George this winter Fleta says he likes a warm house. Live is a constant struggle , up and down and round and round we go. It to hot. It to cold! wish it would snow. The Election is near. Obama will win. McCain will go back to Arizona and be with sister and all the illegal aliens Not that we don't have them here also.

Hi Patsy. Judy sent me over here to read your blog. It is more like mine then the others she honored. It is more of a diary. You are welcome to read mine if you'd like:

Well, I guess I have blogged out...not much around here that you have not seen.

I read in the paper that Walmart was warning their folks not to vote for Obama because he would let the Unions in. Well, how abotu that...they would have to pay workers more.

I bought some plum jelly. It is sort of hard to fine...but I think it is so good. I like muscadine too.

We have about 25 pups so I am busy helping care for them. We have sold a lot this summer and rebuilt the whelping kennels.

Laura has a new job at her school. she will be over all those classroom. she will write grants and get paid more. the biggest plus is they said they would pay the entire family's health insurance.

Clayton Jones is 5 weeks old. gosh, before you know it he will be grown.

Life on Galla creek is pretty boring. I have next week and then back to work.

here is a question for you. when I retire and get my teacher retirement...can I still draw my s socurity at 62 or
not.

I enjoy your blog and am sorry I have not got much to say...I still like to read what you say.

I think those Obama Durhams are kin to Larry if they came from Mo.

That is a scary looking owl in that picture. It has been so hot here all week and no rain in sight this coming week. We really need some rain.
