Sister's sheriff

Sister's sheriff.. My sister who lives in Phoenix Arizona calls and tell me a lot about her sheriff. He always makes her laugh , he does Immigration raids and picks of Illegal aliens ever chance he gets. She could tell more if she would but here is what I found on the net about Helen's sheriff.
On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 degrees inside the week before.

Many were also swathed in wet, pink towels as sweat collected on their chests and dripped down to their pink socks.

"It feels like we are in a furnace," said James Zanzot, an inmate who has lived in the tents for 1 ½ years. "It's inhumane."

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat Bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and our soldiers are living in tents too, and they have to wear full battle gear, but they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your damned mouths!"

I want to know how to root rose of sharon. Did you put them in water or dirt or sand? Do you have them in the house or outside? Last year I went to your place on hwy 86 and got cuttings of your rose of sharon up there. You have 4 or 5 huge plants there. I disremember what I did with them, but whatever it was, they did not root. I want to try again, with better luck.

I get my rose of sharon from those that seed into every corner of my yard. I simply dig them up and stick them into a flower bed. The next year I plant them where I want them to grow and they do grow. I now have three that I've done that way and another ready to be re-planted next spring.

I have read a lot about that sheriff. I, too, think we need more like him. Jail is not supposed to be a place they go to relax and vacation!
