It is 7:30 and the temperature is a nice 63 degrees. We had some rain in the last 24 hours but we didn't have a flood like we were having all summer.
The marigolds are putting on a nice display in my yard.
The yellow hen is the pullet I saved from spring hatch. She is pretty I think.
The egg supply went up to 18 and then dropped back to 6 a day over night. The hens are trying to set again.
When son was here yesterday he said my brother , Gilbert was complaining that his hens wouldn't set so I told Tony to call him and tell him I would give him some setting hens. If Gilbert comes to get hens I will have supplied all my siblings chickens except Helen.
I gave Fleta chickens a couple of times but she never keeps them very long, they become wild cat food. I have tried to give Betty chickens but she always insisted on paying top dollar. Clayton has two bunches of chickens I gave him.

What is wrong with paying top dollar girl. My red hens are big and surely some brown eggs are in my future.
