cuttings

These are my rose of Sharon and pink rose cutting I soaked in willow water and then put into the dirt.
I had 7 rose of Sharon cutting and 3 have shown life, If one survives until spring I will be happy. I need to Carry some dirt and put on them before the ground freezes.
The pink rose has two plants with life and if one should make it to spring I will have a pink rose next summer.

I would think they would freeze if they were not covered.

I pull my Rose of Sharon starts up by the roots and stick them into a flower bed for one year. then I dig them up and plant them along our fence. I have never lost a one. Two of them are seven feet tall today and they were planted six years ago. I have two that are a foot tall and I expect them to thrive.
