The Mclaughlin group

Once upon time 20 years ago before cable TV entered my life I watched PBS ever night and I always watched THE MCLAUGHLIN GROUP every time in showed up on PBS.
I enjoyed watching Eleanor Cliff, a unashamed Liberal, Jack Germond, a big fat guy who always seem to nail down the subject being discussed.
David Gergen a bald egg head who always impressed me with his indigence mind.
There was another fellow who appeared regularly whose name escapes me,I have seen him on the Fox news channel in the last year, so that should tell you I didn't like him and is the reason I can't remember his name.
Then last but he should be first, John McLaughlin the host of the show.
Since I no longer have cable being hungry for conflict I tuned in on the McLaughlin group last night.
I was very disappointed, the show consisted Of my old friend Eleanor Cliff, A very beautiful woman name Monica Crowley , a absolute copy of the fellow who was but is not that I have forgot his name in short a die in the Wool right winger Republican.
Then there was this beautiful brown or black woman, I could decide if she was brown or black, I forgot her name also, she declared she was a independent in political view point If she was independent she was a independent Republican.
Then there was John McLaughlin a person I had a high regard for until last night. He was a absolute John McCain copy.
The other person in the group was Pat Buchanan the world is in a sorry state when I only found Buchanan to agree with on most subjects.
Eleanor Cliff is a liberal and too far left on most subjects for my taste.
The other two women were beautiful window dressing and being female they did nothing for me.
Pat Buchanan called it like he saw it, even if he made it plain he was not happy about the coming victory of the Democrats in the house, senate and presidency. I though Eleanor had some good points but they drowned her out with their shouts of destine.
My heroes are gone from TV even on PBS. I longed for the big fat Jack Germond to put them in their place but it is not to be because I found on line that he had resigned from the group. I have resigned too from the McLaughlin group.

This is weird. I too have on occasion watched this show and I too was amazed that Pat Buchanna seemed the most real of any of the group. For the most part, they all seemed to be spouting their own angled view of reality being carefully not to let logic or real reallity influnce their opinions. Charlie Rose is a good one to watch on PBS. I think Washington Week is on PBS too, and I think Pat is on that plus usually the black woman that hosted the second debate.
