rooting rose cuttings

A year ago I put some rose cutting in water in my kitchen window and waited when spring arrived I planted them in the soil beside my dwelling . two of the cutting lived and this pink blossom pecking up amidst the marigolds is the results. there is only one bloom but next year I should have a nice bush.
I am getting 10 eggs a day and the red hens are still only giving 3 eggs a day.

Thanks for the tip. I just have one miniature rose but I'd like to move it into full sun. When is the best time to do that?

How pretty Patsy. Do you just put the cuttings in water and nothing else and leave them all winter?
Does this work for other bushes as well? I don't have much of a green thumb but do have some things I would like to have more of. Thanks.
