Joe the plumber had 21 reporters on his door step this morning and they probably will show up where he works. Mccain may have put Joe out of work. Thank a lot McCain!
HOLLAND, Ohio (Map, News) - America's most famous plumber said Thursday he doesn't have a license and doesn't need one.
Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, said he works for a small plumbing company that does residential work. Because he works for someone else, he doesn't need a license, he said.
He may find that he does need that license and has been flying below radar but he is out now.
Joe may vote for Obama just to get even with McCain.
every time John mentioned “Joe the Plumber,” some of us in the campaign banged our heads against the wall. If Steve Schmidt had any hair left, I hear he would have been pulling it out tonight. He reportedly screamed at John’s debate prep team tonight (out of earshot of reporters, of course). “You idiots - he’s related to Charles Keating… of the Keating Five scandal!” They thought they had a real live Joe Six-Pack who’s spurned Barack Obama’s tax plan. But what they forgot to do was check on Joe Wurzelbacher’s background.
Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who’s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating’s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
It get worse..
A check of state and local licensing agencies in Ohio and Michigan shows no plumbing licenses under Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher’s name, or even misspellings of his name.
Mr. Wurzelbacher told reporters Thursday morning that he worked for Newell Plumbing & Heating Co., a small local firm whose business addresses flow back to several residential homes, including one on Talmadge Road in Ottawa Hills.
According to Lucas County Building Inspection records, A. W. Newell Corp. does maintain a state plumbing license, and one with the City of Toledo, but would not be allowed to work in Lucas County outside of Toledo without a county license.
Mr. Wurzelbacher said he works under Al Newell’s license, but according to Ohio building regulations, he must maintain his own license to do plumbing work.
He is also not registered to operate as a plumber in Ohio, which means he's not a plumber... Trouble, trouble!
It might be heartening to McCain to know that he has at least one vote in Democratic stronghold Lucas County, Ohio, but for one small fact. A download of the Lucas County voter rolls from the Ohio Secretary of State's website lists four Wurzelbachers, two in Holland, but none of them named Sam or Joe or Samuel Joseph. He is not voting period, John!

Patsy, I had a wonderful time reading this post. You're so good at finding these things. It's a wonderful story to tell now to friends
I read a little bit ago that Schmidt, his Rovite handler, was screaming "You Idiots!" at the debate prep people for mentioning Jo because of his close connections to the Keeting. Seems Wurzelbacher is close to Keetings brother-in-law.
Even in AR you have to have a license to do plumbing, heat and electrical work unless it is in your home. Larry's heat and air license is 200 a year and his electrical license is 25 a year.
I bet in Ohio you have to have a license.
