When I talked to Helen I filled her in on all the political news, I guess they don't have news in Washington state or she has been other wise entertained.
I told her she was loosing her Governor, Janet Napolitano because said governor was going to Washington DC, Helen was delighted.
Tyson is going to be on Holiday for 4 days for Thanksgiving and daughter was happy.
I think I have enough books to see me through the 4 days while she is on holiday.
Velvet sacks had a post saying her dogs were listening in on her phone conversation, that reminded me when my folks first got a phone they were on a party line and mama spent a lot of time eavesdropping on the phone. I never understood what was the attraction but my mother spend her life in a house with her children and never went many places and she very little contact with adults out side the home so I suppose this was the reason. What ever the reason she sure enjoyed the party line and eavesdropping.
I got some of the junk out of my chicken pen yesterday, extra pans, the wire cage and the chickens have more dirt to scratch in.
Woe is me, I have been looking on the hatchery sites and thinking about what kinds of chickens I might get next spring. Helen has I am a chicken hillock,I think she is right. I have 3 dozen hens and if I get more I will have to get rid of some i have because I don't have room for more. i guess I could give some more to brother Clayton, he manages to keep his flock trimmed down to size.

Hi Patsy, When my children were little and we lived on the farm, we were on a 10 party line. Your mother would have loved it! We heard 4 people's ring besides our own and it drove me crazy. Teenagers would get on it and you never got a chance to use it. I don't know why we had a phone except for emergencies I guess.
Sell your red hens to me and you will have money to order what you want....

Pat can't sell the hens she would just buy the same thing again....not at first it would take her one or two buys and then she would come back to the same thing...
Darrel took a day off today he, Kris and 2 kids are out shopping...I have cleaned the entire house and made 6 batches of cinnamon rings and 2 loads of laundry ...they should be back soon...
I told Kris I would stir up the roll dough but not roll them out...She has a big mixer like me so it is not hard,,,,
The kitchen is spotless but I am not messing it up to roll them out...I will punch them down till hell freezes over but I am not rolling them out on the counter...
Yesterday, after cleaning up, I peeled apples till they were coming out my ears.... We made 3 qts and 2 pts apple butter...and 3 quarts sliced apples for pies and 1 pt. and we have 7 qts of apple juice to make jelly...the juice is not canned it is in the frig and she will need to make jelly by the weekend. The rest of the stuff is canned...ant there are twice that many more outside to fix. But the ones left are better these had a lot of bad spots..
Mike picked up a Honey Baked ham today for Thanksgiving...Missy is going to cook. Benjamin has to go have 2 cavities filled tomorrow and they knock him out to do it. Mike is going with Missy. Mike is off all of this week. Hope he is enjoying me being gone because I an having a great time...
Darrel keeps wanting me to go see this or that. He does not understand the whole sitting thing...
It is cold here so I drink coffee all day. and I am not itching so much.
Pat is correct I have not been able to watch any news up here. I have that electronic block problem...You know Darrel has it rigged so you have to turn on like 3 things to get the TV on and then who knows where the news is...the Grandkids would not know so I could not find out...
Also Darrel's computer has a problem...He installed something and it is slow...Plus it opens to the ASK home page ...I do not know why...I do read the Democratic underground and that is about all.
Also I look at everyones blog but Patty is the only one blogging.
Batty has fallen off the face of the earth. and Fleta is just herself...
I love this weather...all of the leaves are turning here...guess I need to take come pics but could not load them on this computer. I would have something to post when I get home...yesterday I picked up a leaf as big as both of my feet put together...TRUE...
My Grand girl is so glad I am here and the little blond is even happy...but she chews me out everyday for not bringing benjamin.
