I love elections and the election for president is my favorite, A year ago when the fires of polities were just starting to burn I didn't think I would live until this day but I am here and if I live until this time tomorrow I hope to see a Democrat elected to the white house.
The last year has been the most fun I have had in a while, First I was for Hillary and when she lost in the primaries I switched donkeys in mid stream, I always pick the person I want to win and some how it is always, would you believe, a Democrat.
In 1956 I first started watching the elections and my man that year was Adlai Stevenson and so every year I watch and wait for a Democrat to win.
The most fun I had in elections was when the blue eyed governor from Arkansas was running for the first time. Boy was that fun to see someone from Arkansas take the oath of office of president. Except for the fact that he liked cigars and blue gowns he did me proud.
So tonight I will be watching and waiting to hear if my Democrat wins this year. LANDSLIDE!
This has always been what I live by if my person loses today there is always next time, I don't let a lost election ruin my day , I get up and go on with my life and surprisingly the day after an election is pretty much like the day before except the fun is over for 4 more years.

Good Morning Patsy, I am sitting here waiting for it to get daylight so I can go vote. I don't drive so well in the dark and would not want to get killed on the way to the polls and Obama lose my vote! I've got my fingers crossed. Have a great day.
"Allow the president to invade a neighboring nation, whenever he shall deem it necessary to repel an invasion, and you allow him to do so whenever he may choose to say he deems it necessary for such a purpose - and you allow him to make war at pleasure. "
"My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth." Abe Lincoln
I am also hoping we can see the last of war as a nation. Even though I know the war mongers..the munitions dealers and aircraft companies as well as thousands of others who never mind sending someone else's children into a war to die so they can make a few million or billion dollars, don't like peacetime.
Patsy, what a wonderful attitude. I don't know if I can be as good as you if we lose this one. I was pretty angry in 2000 & 2004. Your attitude is the right one.
