We have pop corn snow falling here at 7 am. I went to feed and took a photo of the new rooster and the old rooster on the roost.
I twisted the spurs of this old English game rooster yesterday and they popped right off leaving him with spurs of normal length.
When they brought the big new rooster Judy said he would kill my little game rooster, not so the bantam whipped the big guy. I am going to pen him with my big hens this spring and raise some large chicks just for the fun of it. He is a duke mixture of unknown breed but he is very large.
I can raise bantams and big chicks and maybe that will keep me from ordering more hatchery chicks.

Those are some spurs on that rooster in the picture below. They are all such pretty birds. I love the pictures.
