The votes were finally counted in Alaska on the senate race and Ted Stevens lost . a Democrat is going to Washington from Alaska. Sarah palin must be heart broken. Minnesota hasn't a winner yet for the senate and Georgia has to have another election because no one received 50% of the vote.
This has certainly been a strange election season, Mo. finally declared McCain the winner but it has to be a hallow victory.
Hillary Clinton may be the next sectary of state and maybe not and of course who would have believed that a black family would be moving into the white house in January a short 4 years ago.
The big 3 in the auto industry flew into Washington in Hugh jets to beg for money. I have thought about this and I know people will lose their jobs if the government doesn't bail them out but I am inclined to say let it rip. We have no grantee that they wont take the money and then lay everybody off.
someone said let the auto industry borrow from the oil companies they have been their best buddies for years. I agree.
Ted Kennedy went to Washington to try to get a health care program for all Americans and he has a brain tumor. Lieberman a so called independent who was john McCain's absolute buddy for two years has been welcomed back into the fold by the senate democrats.

I cannot see the long term benefit of bailing out the auto industry when they are still producing gas guzzlers. They have been in cahoots with big oil for decades. Let big oil bail them out.
I am really opposed to bailing these thugs out....they really don't seem to get it when one of there Presidents makes 9.3 million a year! They have sold all their electric car plans to the oil companies. They did me in the other night when on national news they said the average auto worker makes $30 an hour.....us retired teachers tend to say what??????
This has been the strangest year in politics I've ever seen. Everyday I wake up and check the news first thing to see if something happened during the night.
