wonders never cease

I never thought I would be in the position of defending Sarah Palin but it has arrived. Sarah pardoned a turkey which I think is a silly act but as she gave a interview in front of the killing shed many news people raised a hue and cry because the fellow was killing turkeys behind her.
The thing I noticed was he had a very hands on operation and could not kill many birds because his methods were very Arcadian . He should see how it is done at a modern poultry plant but the news people were appalled or acted like they were but I ask you how do they think their dinner arrives on their plate if it contains fowl or fish?
If you eat meat something had to die to give you your dish, you might not want to view the slaughter but it had to happen .
I guess the difference in Sarah Palin and her viewers is she is closer to the real meaning of survival.
Why I am on the subject of slaughter, PETA has stopped all plants in the USA killing horses and now wild life management has a surplus of 30,000 horses and may have to kill them because they are over stocked. They wont be eaten but they will die never the less.
We as a nation have gone astray and we may starve to death with food on the hooves before our eyes. Perhaps this is our just deserts for being such pompous fools.
So the time has arrived when I find it necessary to defend the queen of Alaska.
