fever

I got another catalog from a hatchery yesterday and I am having serious chick fever after looking at all the photos for baby chicks. If I raise more chicks this year I have to reduce the size of my flock to make room for new birds.

It was warm yesterday after noon and I hooked up the hose and was able to fill several containers with water out at the pens so I wont have to carry water in a bucket for at least a week.

The temperature is 57 degrees here at 6 o'clock and promises to be another warm day. Warm days in January are to be cherished.

Down here in Ga we had a nice warm sunny day yesterday too, and I am with you, I cherished it! I was outside til dark enjoying it all. When we got down in that horrible freeze last week I was having to tote waterers in the house and de-ice them in the sink and refill them so the poor dears could have water to drink! We got up to 64 yesterday and I loved it. :) Hugs, Kelly
PS, if you need any pointers on raising chicks give me a holler in my email...always glad to help. :)
