A maple died

Jimmie Kay Maples, a resident of Springfield, Mo., was born Jan. 11, 1940, in Berryville, a son of Floyd Maples and Edith (Smith-Bowman) Maples. He died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 69.
Mr. Maples was an electrical engineer.

He is survived by two daughters, Venita and Jim Evans of Stafford, Va., and Suzie and Sean Baldwin of German Town, Md.; three grandchildren, David Evans, Cheyenne Baldwin, Shannen Baldwin; an aunt, Elladean Thomas; and several cousins and other family

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Alpena Cemetery with Rev. Dean Smith officiating under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.

well it's no surprise I do not know who this person is....Betty could tell me traced all of the way back from the Powell line, but I'm sure it would only confuse me!

He was the one doing a lot of the Maples research..we now know about Jemina...I wish I had know he was still alive. I would have called and told him. Maybe now he knows about all the Maples and Atchtleys.
