Kelly said he gave 6 dollars each for the gunieas so that is 36 dollars. I made a profit! Some one gave 36 dollars for 2 hens and the rooster. Think how many roosters I killed last fall!
I may try hatching some guineas under a hen. Guinea hens don't make good mothers because they drag them out in the wet and cold. The man who sold kelly the guineas said I had 4 hens and 2 roosters, maybe, time will tell. They should start laying by May. I will be crawling in the pen to get eggs for setting. Maybe clayton might want to set some eggs in his incubator .

Your chickens are so pretty. Evidently, other people think so, too, or they would not have sold so well. Don't guieas start hollering when someone strange comes around? I always heard they were as good as a watchdog.
New business.. you raise them Kelly sells them. Good deal for both of you.
I think I got the varmit to leave my pen alone,
When the guinea mom I had hatched out her babies I had to put up a barrier to make the mom keep her babies safe. Eventually they found their way out anyway. They were a little bigger and stronger before this though, so sixteen survived the ordeal after they got out.
