It is 32 degrees here at 6:45 and winter mix is in the forecast for Thursday. I hope they are wrong.
This is a photo of our winter mix that turned into a major ice storm. I have had enough winter already.
Teacher sister is blogging about a boy trying to get out of class by faking a nose bleed and this reminded me when we were in junior high, the building had Hugh windows that reached almost to the ground. When we were in study hall over seen by our teacher Mr. Vowell some of the students would get his attention and some of us would crawl out the open windows. Mr. Vowell never noticed the absent students and some days when the out side world called esp. strong Mr. Vowell ended the hour with no students under his care.
One day when we were in our junior year in high school the "in crowd" started the action for everybody to come to school and then fail to go in to class and spend the day on the go. they said if all stayed out of school nothing would be done about the awol .These students who planed this little field trip had cars and they were going to take their friends for a day outing . I was not in this group and this meant I would be in town all day with nothing to do and no where to go.
Being esp. mean in those days I wrote an unsigned note to fill him in and placed the note on our principle's desk while he was out of the office. When he returned he came to our room and told our class he knew the plan and anyone taking part in this awol would be relieved of coming to school for the rest of the year. The students were amazed that he had the big secret but they showed up for classes the next day because the students planning the outing were planning on going to college after graduating and you can't go to college if you didn't finish your Jr. year.
I took great glee in watching the "in crowd" talking about how he found them out. The "in crowd" were students who lived in town and had more money an all the finer things in life but I had the mighty pen and paper.

Your guineas are looking good Patsy! That is so funny about the episode at school. You asked if that was a "start button" on Thomas Wyatt's head. He doesn't need a button. He stays on "go" all the time. I was so tired on Monday after he left I slept all afternoon! He sure can run me ragged but I love him to death. It is back to cold here today. Went from 75 yesterday to 40 today!
That IN crowd could sure get IN a lot of trouble. By my time in school, Sister, I was just one of them!
In Hunter's class today...I opened with a little talk about good self talk and making good decisions...Discussion was a buzz. And I told Hunter...Yesterday, you made a VERY bad decision. Hunter begged me to not tell what he did. And of course, I kept his secret. But now when I look at him...I see red under his nose!
