I love the Onagadori. I just posted a link the other day about this breed. They are gorgeous. Sisterthree, yes it is real. The roosters are put up on a pedestal to keep the tails from breaking, but are also given a lot of love and attention from their owners to keep them from being stressed from being on a pedestal all the time. Beautiful birds...so beautiful.
You got it! Its REALLY real and REALLY rare as well. Haha. I am breeding them right now with stocks originated from the first lines brought over to the U.S. from the World's Fair in the 1960's. Got the orginal rare stock so get to work with the best now. Known tail length here in the U.S. is currently 14ft. long! The parents of my birds are just a little shy of that at 12ft. long : )
